The first month is in the books (har har har…) and the results are pretty solid.
12,251 words over 6 chapters.
While I’d love for the number to be higher, it does also account for me writing a chapter out, revising it before sending to my wonderful friends who read and provide feedback, and then editing again after seeing their feedback. So while 12k words isn’t entirely a lot, they are quality words. Nearly permanent words.
I’ve been putting a lot of effort into this to try and meet my goal of having this done and self-published by the end of the year. With a first month like this, that goal is now very reasonable. That makes me happy.
It does bum me out a little that I’ve done no flash fiction during this time, but it’s energy directed to a positive place, so I won’t beat myself up over it.
