A few days ago I posted on the ending of my vacation and how life was on a crash course to normality (am I turning into a blogger?). It was true at the time. However, when you come home from work one day to find your best friend sitting on your couch with a big smile on his face, a friend who lives in Maui, normality takes a pause. And as it always seems to go, when life steps in, writing suffers. To add to that fact, my brother-in-law and his wife came down to see this friendly face and a small collection of some of my favorite people was formed. Alcohol flowed easily last night, and it was fantastic to have a rare moment together, all of us laughing and playing some drunken Rock Band. Of course we capped it all of with a wonderful rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody that would have surely left a smile on the face of any kind reader who passes through here.
It’s moments like those that remind me to cling to the little gems in life. Genuine enjoyment.
This is the part where I make excuses about time and life and lack of writing, etc. You can probably insert all of those words on your own. It seems that we all have the script memorized by now. Not all is lost though. The best thing about good friends is how they supportive they tend to be. I’m surely to be encouraged to pound at some keys.
As long as a I take a shot first. Hell, that sounds kinda fun…
